Applications are now open for the NHS Leadership Academy’s Nye Bevan programme and will close on Monday 22nd August 2016.
Aimed towards leaders in healthcare with aspirations to develop into executive roles, the year-long programme is aimed at leaders from all backgrounds in healthcare and results in an award in Executive Healthcare Leadership on completion. The programme offers support and learning to build the personal resilience, confidence and capability essential at board level. There’s a mixture of online and face to face learning which provides a safe space in which participants can test their responses to some of the challenges they’ll face.
From the first two intakes, almost 50% of participants said they’d been promoted during the programme, with over 90% saying this was because of their learning.
Nye Bevan graduate Shahana Ramsden, senior co-production lead at NHS England said: “Through the programme I developed personal resilience. I was reminded that leading in the NHS is about understanding the whole picture and ensuring equal relationships across the whole system to get results. We’ve got to work collaboratively and maintain our focus on patient outcomes.”
The programme has been designed by a consortium of internationally renowned academic, healthcare and business experts all held to account by UK patient group, National Voices.
