Who should apply

Applications are welcome from individuals working in the NHS or providing NHS funded services (in England) at band 8a, or clinical equivalent or above.

Successful applicants will already have leadership experience as the programme is designed for leaders from under-represented groups that want to become senior leaders in the NHS. The programme will positively reinforce your view that the NHS should be more inclusive and representative of the communities it serves, and stretch and develop your leadership in ways which contribute towards this outcome.

Ready Now participant Ranjita Sen discusses how the programme gave her the confidence to combat the barriers she’s faced as a senior leader from a black, Asian and minority ethic (BAME) background. Read more here.

Ram Jassi  recently completed the Ready Now programme, which is specifically designed for senior black Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) leaders who work in the NHS or in NHS funded services. He shares his experiences of the programme here.

“The Ready Now programme changed my outlook on work, and how I approach work. In addition to this it gave me the confidence to challenge those who undermine Equality and Diversity with logical and reasoned arguments, as well as more emotive and compelling reasons.”
