Chair Development Network

Contents

Highly performing chairs are at the heart of developing inclusive and compassionate organisational cultures. Currently, there is a range of development offers from a number of commercial organisations. However, the NHS Leadership Academy is uniquely placed to deliver a developmental support offer, positioned as a confidential, non-political, peer development network which offers reflection, renewal and community.

The established Chief Executive Development Network (CEDN) is a highly successful offering, and it is increasingly clear that a similar offer for chairs will create a leadership development space, grounded in learning and development for chairs. This will support them to explore how their leadership behaviours and style can flex to meet the challenges of both the pandemic and the changing systems world of healthcare and reduce health inequalities. Where the CEDN and Chair Development Network (CHADN) would both find it useful, these two networks will come together to explore issues and develop their thinking and leadership collaboratively.

This network will work alongside the Chief Executive Development Network interacting where appropriate.
