Applications for the Nye Bevan programme will be conditional on you being able to attend all the residential dates for your cohort.

Registered healthcare professionals (clinicians) and those working for the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and the national health and care arm’s length bodies will also need support from their organisation to commit to the additional learning elements, alongside the programme residential dates.

As 50% of the programme centres on work based application of your learning it’s essential that your manager and organisation are aware of and support the commitments involved. Given the nature of your role and tasks it’s important for you to jointly consider the feasibility of you creating the time to apply your studies to the workplace.

Before submitting an application you must set aside some time with your line manager to discuss your talent management aspirations and how the Nye Bevan programme might fit with these, the challenges you are currently facing and the outcomes, both personally, organisationally and what you would wish to derive from your participation in the programme. We also recommend you agree with your manager from the outset what support they’ll provide to help protect this time.

As part of the application process, you will be required to indicate if you are a registered healthcare professional (clinician) or working for the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and the national health and care arm’s length bodies. Further information will be provided on the additional learning elements following your application.

Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed for eligibility. If your application is eligible, you will be invited to attend a one-day assessment interview. Assessment interviews are currently scheduled to take place on the dates below. Please note that further assessment centre dates will be added if you are unable to attend.

London: Tuesday 1, Wednesday 2, Monday 14, Tuesday 15, Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November

Leeds: Wednesday 2, Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 30 October
